Change the Computer name

Hi all,
does anyone know how to safely change the computer name using
command-line tools only? I would like to have an image and tailor it after
deployment. I used to change some registry values but this seems not work w/
SP2, because after that my user account is not accessible any more, as is
the Administrator and all other User account were stuck to the previous
computer domain.
Can you help me?

Make a simple app that calls to SetComputerNameEx API:

if your computer is in a domain you can use netdom.exe:
