Please always mention the version you are working in, to
help others to answer your question. Additional specific
details might help as well.

If you are referring to the strikethrough line applied
within font formatting, it'll take on whatever colour you
set the text to be.

If you are referring to the strikethrough that is applied
as part of tracking changes, (in Word 2000) click Tools >
Track Changes. Then click the Options button, and select
the colour for the strikethrough text that you want.

I don't believe you can. You can change the underline color in Word 2000 and
above, but not the strikethrough.

Tammy,

The version is not important for this question. If it was
I would have specified. The strikethrought button(if you
have it added)or Format/Font/Strikethrough is the same in
all versions.

As well, the question is quite self explanatory. I have
not referred to the color of the line using Tracking
Changes options.

I know that the color of the line will take on, whatever
font color is currently on. I want to change the color,
to a different color than the font color. So - change the
color of the strikethrough line, to be
something other than black? You can to this, very easily
in other text processing software.

I realize it probably can be done through code, but I
thought perhaps there may be a way to do so, without
coding.

Thanks for your response.

Cathy,
As others allready explained you can't change ontly the colour of a
striketrough, the only thing I can think of to help is to draw two coloured
lines on top of the word. Yes I now it's a pain. If you do please think of
deactivating the drawing canvas (Tools - options - general).
