Change settings for superscript and subscript

G

Guest

Does anyone know how to change the default settings for sub- and superscript?
For example in superscript, if you need the number 2 in x^2 to be placed
higher above the x than words default settings (2 points, I believe).

How do you do that and can it be made into a global setting so you dont have
to fix it each single time?

Thanks.

You could define and apply a character style.

You can't change the default settings for subscript & superscript, but you
can select the text you apply those attributes to and use Format> Font>
Character Spacing to change the Position to Raised or Lowered by a specific
number of pts in .5 pt increments. This along with sub-/superscript can be a
part of a Character Style in order to more readily make it available.
