change resolution on starting access app

Hi, everybody,

anyone knows a way to change resolution by starting an application (i. e.
access) using the Form_Open EventProcedure of the MainForm. What I need first
is to find out the existing resolution (maybe using the command "GetSetting",
but I don't know, how to handle that command), second I want to set a
pre-defined resolution (listed probably in a table) when applicable.

I usally work in a resolution of 1280 x 1024, but want, when starting the
app, change it - in order to programm und design on the more common basis of
1024 x 768.

Is that possible ? Anyone can help ?

Thanks, Alex. This is probably, why I prefer the english newsgroups. I get an
answer and then - maybe - an advice. newsgroups in other languages,
particularly the german ones - you quite often get the question "Why the hell
are you want to do anything like that" merely implying "How can one have a
problem like this, stupid" and usally no answer.

In this case you are quite right, user should not select resolution
according to application. However I needed the information for purposes
beyond what I wrote, but as english is not my mothertongue it was difficult
for me, to explain better.

I try to work with the code recommended (ID=4187), but got a problem: the
code refers in a command to a "list1.listindex". Can you help me, what list
is meant? a list of resolutions, which I have to establish myself ? Or do I
miss something? Maybe you can help me again.

Thanks in advance
