Change/Remove Button not visible for ALL the installed programs.

Hello,

Suddenly the change/remove button has disappeared for all the programs
from the Add remove programs applet. I tried the options as suggested
in other related threads but of no use.

In the following entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\SOFTWARE
\Microsoft
\Windows
\CurrentVersion
\Uninstall

there exists just 5 entries whereas the add remove programs applets
shows about 20 programs installed. I am also not able to understand
from which location is the registry picking up these entries(the
remaining 15).

Thanks

I have a similar post, although this reply may not help, I want to share that
what happened on my machine was caused by a glitch from an IM install. I
guess you too are trying to find a solution to re-create these keys in your
registry w/out re-installing the programs w/ missing Change/Remove buttons in
ARP. Goodluck!

Hi Maneesh,

The remaining entries may be coming from Installer\Products key (under HKEY_CURRENT_USER as well as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE)
