Change Passwords

It seems our XP cleints on a NT 4.0 domain can't change their
passwords when
they expire anymore. The users are getting a message that they don't
have
permission to change their password. What have I done wrong? I know
that this used to work but has a patch that I put on started to cause
problems?

thanks

I am having the exact same problem except that I am on a Win2K domain,
and it happens on XP Pro workstations only. One way to change your
password is to log on and do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and choose "change
password". For some reason it will allow you to change it there, but
when you log on and you get the message "you need to change your
password" and you attempt to then, and that's when you get the message
you don't have permission to change your password. I agree with you,
I think this has something to do with a security patch that we
installed onto the workstations. If you find anything else out I
would love to know!

thank you,
Steve Braun
