Change field information

Using A97, how can I set up a field so that when the user enters the field
they will be positioned at the start of the field to allow entry of new
information. Currently when entering the field, the entire field is
highlighted and in order to make changes or additions, it is necessary to use
the mouse to position the cursor in the field, or else everything is
overwritten with new changes.
