Change default sort order

O

OldManEd

Every object in my Navigation Pane is sorted 'Ascending.' This seems to be
the default setting. I want to sort 'Descending' (on date created or
modified) in order to bring the most recent object to the top of the
Navigation Pane for tables, forms, queries and reports. I can't find
anywhere in Access Option a place to make this change. Is this possible?
How? VBA code?

This is a report forum so I can only assume you want to set the sorting of
records in a report. Do this using the Sorting and Grouping dialog.

Hi Ed,

If you're meaning how to sort objects in the database window, it's easy.
Simply click on the column heading that you want to sort on; first click
will sort ascending, another click will change order to descending. Works
up to A2003; probably in A2007, but can't say for sure since I don't have
it.

HTH,

Rob

PS. For a general question such as this, you'll likely get better/faster
response by posting to microsoft.public.access, rather than
microsoft.public.access.reports
