change default autoshape properties

When one tries to draw a rectangle in powepoint, one gets a default
ugly blue fill which I never use, with a thin black 0.75 point line,
which I also never use. I mostly draw white rectangles with 2 point
lines. So I always have to right-click the default thing and adjust the
autoshape properties. Is there a way to change the default properties
to the ones that I use most often?

After adjusting,
Put a checkmark to "Defaults for new objects" and click ok.

Alternately after adjusting,
Right click on the autoshape, select Set AutoShape Defaults.

If you want a permenant default change

Set up the shape how you want - set autoshape defaults then delete the slide
and save as a design template (.pot) and name it "blank"
