 *Can somebody help my out?????? I would like to know how to
change the column name (A, B, C etc) into a different name...*

Good question BH 79 , I also would really like to know this and can't
find anything about it . But I have seen docs in which the
columns have names instead of the usual a,b,c-labels... Hope someone
knows the answer...

You cannot change the column letters themselves (except to numbers in the
R1C1 style of cell references). What you can do is to use row 1 for your own
headings, with your data starting in row 2.

You can't, you could hide all headers and then create your own but the
references would still have to be there

Hi BH79!

No. You can type in a row of names in Row 1 and hide the Row and
Column headers using Tools > Options > View. Not generally recommended
as it confuses with formulas but there are situations where you might
use the approach.
