Change color of precision selector from white in text box select?

A computer savy lady at our business has a problem with the fact that her
precision cursor changed color to white when she tries to insert a text box.
When she chooses the text box icon, the cursor dissappears on the document
since it is white instead of the usual dark gray. Thus, she cannot determine
where she is placing the text box until she pushes the mouse button to select
the place. She can move the box after she makes it, but it is a pain. I
could not find a place to assign a color to this cursor so I can't change her
cursor back. Help! Please...

Either she has some special software that lets her customize how the cursor
looks (and we can't help you with that), or there's a problem with the graphics
card driver. For the latter, you can download and install the newest version
from the manufacturer's website.

The person has not installed any third party cursor changing software. The only case for the precision cursor to be white is on the selection of a text box. All other times the precision cursor is black. If it were a video card driver isssue, I would think the cursor would always be white.
