Change background colour of a row if a particular cell has a value greater
than zero

The below will change the background color of row to red if value in A1 is
greater than 5

1. Select the Row / rows
2. From menu Format>Conditional Formatting>
3. For Condition1>Select 'Formula Is' and enter the below formula
=$A1>5
4. Click Format Button>Pattern and select your color (say Red)
5. Hit OK
