Change an object on just one title slide?

I have title slides set up and they work well, but I sometimes want to work
with an object and edit it on just one title slide, not all of them. I know
there is a way to display the title slide effects and animations, etc. in the
Custom Animation panel (I think that's where it is), so they can be edited as
if they were just a part of the individual slide and not on the title slide.
But I can't find it again.

Now, what's happening is when I click an object to edit it on one of the
title slides, I get a message that I can't do it, it's on the title master.

Thanks for any help

On the slide you want to change, go to Format > Background > Omit Background
Objects...

These objects will disappear from your slide. If you want any of these
objects, copy them to this slide from your master. However, you now have the
option to customize the slide with your desired animations. You can also do
this by creating a new/additional master slide (if you have PPT 2002/2003.
