Change an item icon in Outlook

Is there a way to change the icon of a mail message item in Outlook 2000
programmatically? After the mail message is being copied to another folder.
If so, how to do that? Thanks!

Those icons for standard items are compiled into the Outlook DLL's. You
cannot change them. For a custom form you can change the message
icon and that's it.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the advice and that's the direction that we are currently looking
into. We are now trying to create a custom form, so we can copy all the
information from the original mail message into the custom form and change
the display icon. Are there any books or online resources that you will
recommend for further details into this scenario? Thanks in advance.
