CGI web page counter display failure

Guest

Hi I've just taken delivery of a brand new PC with XP SP2 and IE6 on it

when I look at web sites with a server side cgi web page counter they show
as a red cross rather than a number, I've looked through the security
settings but can't see anything obvious I've even tried making the sites
trusted but still no joy

If I use my old Win2K PC also with IE6 that works fine

any thoughts ?

This is generally a firewall or anti-advertisement software problem.
Compare running software on both systems.
