Hello.
We are having some strange problems with Windows XP and
installing trusted root certificates through Internet
Explorer. This is what happens...we manually install the
certificate and then once the user logs off and back on
the certificate is "lost" and has to be reinstalled.
This is the only fix we have found.
Run MMC, go to Certificate add-on for remote computer,
choose Computer Account, then add the certificate to the
Trusted Root Certificates from there. That's the only
way the certificate actually sticks.
It must be something wrong with XP installing the
certificate by default as a user account certificate
instead of computer account certificate.
Any ideas about an easier work around for this problem?
