Cells with a total automatically connects to Intenet when highlig.

It is very annoying working in Excel. When a cell that contains a total
formula is accessed, it automatically begins to connect to the Internet. How
do you turn this off.
 
What is in your formula? [And what is in the various cells to which your
formula refers?]
Does your worksheet use the Data/ Import External Data/ Web Query function?
