cells as a picture

Can you take a range of cells and make them into an
object like a picture?
 
Select your range, then hold down SHIFT and click on Edit and you will see new
menus commands such as Copy Picture etc.
 
In addition to Ken's answer,

You can also do a normal Copy, then SHIFT>Edit>Paste Picture (or Paste Picture Link in Excel XP)

If you do this a lot, there is a Camera button (at least in Excel XP) that you can add to a toolbar (if you don't have it already): Tools>Customize>Commands>Tools>Camera.
