I hope I am posting to the correct forum. Is there a way to put a formula,
such as IF/THEN, into a cell that would make Excel send an e-mail? For
example, if the value of a cell falls below $10,000, can Excel
'automatically' generate/send an e-mail in Outlook? Thanks for any and all
help.

hi,
no. formulas return a value. they cannot perform as action
such as send mail or copy/paste etc.
but there is a way to do this. see this site

he has example code that will do as you want.
