Cell format

Hi-

In a cell consist of this number '24110100, I did try copy and paste special
trying to get rid of this apostrophe " ' " in front of number and I'm not
able to do so. The other way is to delete it, but I have thousands of
numbers. Is there a better way to get rid of this apostrophe ' sign?

Thanks,
Soth

Excel creates a text entry from the apostrophe. That's why you can't find
it. Use Text to Columns instead.

Highlight the column.
Data>Text to Columns
Next>Next>Finish

Fred.

Hi,
Do first text to columns, if it still doesn't find it, insert a column and
enter this formula

=trim(A1)

change to your column, then copy this column as value over the original one
