Cell double-clicking problem

V

vbMark

Greetings,

When I double-click a cell, sometimes, instead of clicking directly in the
cell, I'll accidently double-click the top or bottom cell boarder.

As a result I am wisked to the top or bottom of the worksheet and, since
the worksheet is very large, I loose my place! Gaaaa, this is driving me
nuts!

How do I turn off this stupid "feature?"

Thanks!

Maybe change the speed at which your mouse pointer moves across the screen so
that you can place it more accurately? This can be done via the control
panel on either a Windows PC or Mac...

I'm not sure how to turn it off, but "F5" and "Return" will take you back to
where you were.

You can turn it off via:
tools|Options|uncheck "allow cell drag and drop"

but then you won't be able to drag and drop. I think I'd try to be more
careful.
