Cell border problem

Hi,
I have a question about applying borders in cells (Excel 2003, Win XP pro).
I am having problems putting a border on cells that have conditional
formatting applied to it. I have tried different colours and sizes. I
format the border with a different colour and size of line and I can see it
on the screen. I go to print preview and it is not there. I go and print it
out and it is not there.
Also, if I go to the next empty cell beside it (with no conditional
formatting) and try and put a border on this empty cell, the border will not
work.
Any suggestions on what to do next and/or try next would be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Brian.

the default for conditional formatting is no borders, when stting the
formats, choose the second tab "Borders" and select the one you want, i'll
bet that fixes ya.

Hey, that worked! Thank you very much.
Is there a way to apply a border without changing the conditional
formatting? Or, is that the only way.
Brian.
