i have a celeron 700mhz cpu and was wondering if it would fit in a p4
mobo. they say the fit a p4/celeron, but is that only newer ones?

It is only the newer ones. They use a different pin packaging.

If you are willing to buy a new motherboard, processor and ram, I suggest
that you go with an Athlon XP2600+ 333 instead. It is only around $100
for the retail box with heatsink. An nforce2 motherboard for it can be
bought for as little as around $75.
