I just built a computer system
Motherboard: ASUS P4R800-V
video, sound, network intergrated on board. Western Digital 80G HD. P4 2.6Ghz Processor. And A Samsung CDRW SW-252. My Problem: The CDRW drive will boot with the WinXP disk. It will Also install WinXP. But when WinXP tries to load for the first time it locks up. I disconnect the CDRW Drive and WinXP loads right up. I have tried a different CD Rom Drive and WinXP loads fine. Would appreciate any help.

Is your RW drive XP compatible? It may need a firmware update or something.
Go to the web-site of the Mfr. and see what they have to say.

LOL, JAX
