I found a solution that worked for me on this one.
Open regedit and look for
Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services
u will find this service listed there. I simply deleted it and a
similar named service. the more cautious will want to export these
values first.
It was interesting to me that this section had services that I didn't
see listed in services. I found another that was giving me trouble in
there too.
