CDO library Version problem

Does Different Outlook versions require different CDO libraries?
Please Help.
 
CDO 1.21 is installed as an optional part of the Outlook install. It is
dependent on the Outlook version, but you have no control over that.
Why?

I want it to redistribute with our install. Is it redistributable?
 
No. It can only be installed by Outlook. The best you can do is to launch
the Windows installer that will prompt the user for the Office CD: see the
ItemsCB sample addin at http://www.microeye.com
