I just bought for the first time and tried using some CD-
RWs (Philips CD-RW 80/Highspeed 4-12x). Every time I try
to burn some text documents to the CDs (using the CD
Writing Wizard), nothing burns, and I get the following
error message: "There was an error in the writing
process. The disc you have attempted to use may no longer
be usable".

I tried lowering the write speed to 4 under the Recording
tab of My Computer/Properties, but no difference. I have
recorded to CD-Rs using Windows XP, and that works fine.

Any help, I'd be grateful!

Check the options in your writing software and if all else
fails then format the disk and try again. Keep smiling.
