Why in the world would they have a blank CD for a CD-ROM drive? It just
doesn't make any sense. That is why I am pretty sure the OP meant his CD
Writer, but just called it a CD ROM. But nobody uses the right
terminoligy in here, so your guess is as good as mine.
Because yours is NOT a CD-ROM it's a CD-Recorder or CD-R drive.. Which
is what Nathan was refering to as "Nobody uses the right terminology in
here". A CD-ROM drive is a "Compact Disc-Read Only Memory" drive and
therefore incapable of recognizing a blank recordable disc.
