CD-Rom Drive Door Sticks Open

Just recently my CD-Rom drive door has been popping open
upon startup of my computer. I must manually close the
door, but it will not recognize any discs in it. I can
see inside with a flashlight that when I push the
open/close button that the internals are trying open the
door when it's already open. It will resist my manually
closing it at this point. Any thoughts?
