CD-ROM directory

I recently purchased a CD which stated that to install it, I needed to
click "Autorun.exe" in the CD-ROM directory. Would someone please tell me how
to locate this directory? And, do I need to know what a directory is to use
it?

Insert the CD, and browse to it in Windows Explorer.
