CD read hangs the system

I have 1Ghz,256mb ram,WinXP Pro SP2. When a CD inserts, the system hangs
until reads the CD completely. Any solution for this?

Yes. If you stop inserting CDs, then your system will stop hanging due
to CD insertion.
