CD Problems

Teilhard Knight

The settings of my computer are as follows. I use an Ultra ATA/133 card
where I have connected two HD's as masters. One of them has a CD-RW as
slave, and the other a plain DVD drive. I have a fifth device, a DVD+RW
connected as master in the first regular motherboard primary channel.

Now, nor the DVD drive or the DVD+RW are working properly. I cannot even
display the contents of a CD or DVD. Normally when they are called, a fast
spin is necessary for them to do something, but in my case, they say there
sort of spinning lazily with their power led on lighting from time to time.
The CD-RW works fine.

Could you offer some help about what I can do? If you need more information,
I'll gladly provide it.

Teilhard.

Most Add-on cards do not support Aoatapi Devices like Cdrom drives
IIRC.Place them on your standard mother board IDE ports.
