CD problem

Suddenly both my Cdrom and R/W burner broke down. Thes
and the machine are almost brand new. The device manager
approach does not serem towork. Any ideas welcome.
 
Are they on the same IDE cable? If so, check that the
cable did not come loose from the motherboard.
