For some strange reason, when I put a blank CD-R in my drive, it is not
recognised. The message is "There is no CD in the drive". I have tried with
3 different CD's, and still no luck. It does recognise any other full CD.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Many Thanks

Try this: "How to Troubleshoot Issues with Reading CD, CD-R, CD-RW,
and DVD Discs" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=321641).

You tried three blank CDs but have you tried better CD burner software. Nero
is famous for stupid hangups like you describe. If you have Windows XP try
using its simple burner or download the free trial version of EasyCD

Hi Jeremy, what are You trying?
A blank CD-R has no data on it thus You cannot read of it.
Or do You want to say that it wasn't recognized by a burner program?
Please provide more details.
And please DO NOT CROSSPOST to such many groups.
