cd drives and floppy wont work

hi all

running w2000 pro

the cd drives and floppy don't work except when in safe mode...

I removed alot of viruses with latest norton and adware...

no cd's will auto run but I can here the drives spinning when exploring my
system .. everything is detected ok on boot up..

any ideas anyone??

have cleared the run key, used last known good config...

puzzled big time

Have you tried removing, in hardware. Rebooting and allowing to reinstall
these?
 
Basicly if ALL removable drives fail, it's a Norton issue. Please visit
their site and search for the error message you get when you try to use
the drive.
