cd drive doesn't fully work..what am i doing wrong?

Hi,

My cd drive reads music cd's correctly, fine so far, but, when I insert an empty cd that I want to copy things to, I can hear the drive work, but after a while it stops and nothing happens. The cd icon never appears in "My computer". Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks for any help and sorry for incorrect English

Cecilla, make sure the cd does' read and write. There is
a difference in the type of CDs'. I was informed of this
whilst purchasing new cds. You container should be CD-RW,
not CD-R, then the cd driver and software can do it's job.
