CD Burning problem

John

everytime I access a file on my secondary hard drive a
pop up tells me I have files waiting to be copied to a
cd. If I delete the "temporary files" the real files on
the secondary drive are deleted permanently. Anyone know
how to stop this from happening and still be able to burn
cds?

Windows XP native CD burning is basic, and sometimes problematic. Best advice: Get third
party CDR/CD-RW burning software, which has many more features, doesn't cue files to be
burned (burns on the fly), and some like Nero can burn CDs that can be read on almost any
system, even if the other system doesn't have the software installed. I especially like
the Nero InCD module, which formats CD-RWs so they can be used like any other drive (drag
and drop, copy/paste, delete, etc., all with out cueing. Nero makes backing up files a
one step operation, rather than having to select files, and then have the cued files
burned. You can download a free trial version of Nero at:

Thanks T. I came to the same conclusion and disabled cd
burning on that drive and will pick up "Nero" soon.
