How can I check an attachment is safe? I need to save it to disk to check it
with a virus checker. However, I can't do that unless I allow OE to open
unsafe attachments. If I do that & select the message, the attachment could
open!

You're not really allowing OE to "open" the attachment, merely telling it to
let you "open" it if you want to.

I believe I have had an attachment open as soon as I selected the message in
the viewing window. It messed up my desktop, & I don't know what else it
did. I was using OE6 under Windows 98.

Since I don't want this to happen ever again, how can I check an attachment
is safe?
