Catalyst 3.9 anti-aliasing artifacts

I notice that with AA on (any level) white pixels appear all about the
edges of the elephant and rhino in 3DMark03 Pixel Shader v2.0 test. At
first I though it was the softmod on my 9800SE, that may be producing
them, but going back to 4 pipelines still caused a problem. Running the
test without AA fixes the problem completely. I'm happy to say that the
softmod is working perfectly :)
In HD2 I notice bright yellow anti-aliasing artifacts added to the edges
of the oasis walls on the Caravan mission. This is strange as there is no
bright yellow anywhere near. As this mission is almost in darkness they
are very noticable. Turning off AA makes alleviates the problem.
Are others noticing such AA problems?
As this is my first ATI card and Catalyst v3.9 my first driver version,
am I expecting too much from these drivers? i.e. working properly :)
Cheers.

Strange. On a friend's 9600 Pro with v3.9 there are no such AA
artifacts at all. Well there is the odd white dot added, but the
9800SE has literally hundreds flashing on and off.
I've tried this on three 9800SE's and they all exhibit the problem
with or without the softmod driver.
Is this down to the newer core in the 9600 Pro having some kind of
AA fixes?
Cheers.
