catalog error

i hhave tried repairing windows xp with the cd it
starts then has a fatal error for catalog error 426
i tried writing in dos catlog problem no help
also pulled memory according toi article 307153 no help
is there a way to dowload info and sending it to
hardrive i dont want to lose info on drive for a full
install thanks

Download memtest86 from memtest86.com and test the ram.
