Capturing replied email addresses Outlook 2002

The previous version of Outlook allows you to capture
emails into a Contact Address Book automatically by going
to Tools, Options, Email Options, Automatically put people
I reply to in .. What options has Outlook 2003 to perform
this task?

When you open a received message, right click on the sender [From] & select
Add to Contacts. I don't think there is a default setting to capture
addresses in OL2002 as you reply, but would like to know what it is if there
is one :)

I cannot get outlook to capture email addresses automatically and add them to my address book although the help information tells my this should be happening. Have you been able to come up with a solution

The option was removed in Outlook 2002 and later (it only existed in OL 2000
IMO anyway).

You will need to right click on the sender's address and select "Add to
Contacts."

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Heather asked:

I'm using Outlook 2003 and the rule seems to have been
reactivated. Problem is I want to turn it off and it does
not appear under Tools, Preferences, Email Options...

Anyone have a clue where to turn this rule off in
Outlook '03?

Thanks,
Rick

You would need to be using an addin that supported saving all addresses
you replied to for OL2003 to save the addresses. You could blow away all
of your rules and start over if you aren't using an addin to save them.
(start outlook using the /cleanrules switch)

I'm using Outlook 2003 and the rule seems to have been=20
reactivated. Problem is I want to turn it off and it does=20
not appear under Tools, Preferences, Email Options...

Anyone have a clue where to turn this rule off in=20
Outlook '03?
