Capturing probs

I had problems using MM2 so I tested capturing by using
WinDV. I found that type 1 (iavs) worked, while type 2
(vids+auds) did not work. Now I find that when I try to
play the captured video, it won't play because "windows
media encountered an unknown error" I can't import the
video to MM2 because the "file may be corrupted." I
still have a problem capturing to MM2 also. Can anyone
help? Thank you.

A few comments:

MM1 creates type 2 files while MM2 creates type 1. But both MM1 and MM2 can
use either type. I wonder if you can use the files in MM1 without getting
the error message.
