My wife was buying me a Video Camera,thinking she was going to buy a non digital
one I went out and bought a Capture card(Hauppauge 250)
Well she (or the salesman) decided that digital HI8 was the best buy and I found
out that I did not need the capture card.USB2.0 or Firewire Transfers the movies
to HD just fine and quick.Windows Movie Maker captures the video and plays the
video for editing.Windows Media Player plays the resulting file just fine.
Nero burns it to a DVD and we can watch it on the Samsung DVD player hooked up
to the big screen(TV)
With an analog video camera you would need a capture card
