Captions in cells of a table

Does anyone know how I can add captions in the cells of a table? When I do
this currently, the caption jumps to the bottom of the table. I understand
Microsoft's thinking here but I need the table for the layout of the document
- tables are so much easier for this than individual text boxes.

After you've inserted the caption, just cut and paste it into the desired
location.
