Caps lock blinking then computer shuts down

Whenever I turn my Dell Laptop on the caps lock key blinks and then the
computer shuts down. I just updated windows from Microsoft and now this
happens. Anyone have this problem or any ideas on how to fix it?

Try posting to microsoft.public.windowsxp.general NG.

Btw, sounded like you've got a dead battery in the laptop. Replace or remove the battery and check it out again.
