Can't view runtime error

Hi:
I included a web.config in the root of the application, which sets the
customerrors mode = off, but I still get a message saying to set
customerrors = off.

Any ideas?
 
Already tried that...it didn't work.
When I run the page on the server, I get the following error

Access denied to 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\'. Failed to start monitoring file
changes.
 
Never mind...
I needed to add an ASPNET account to the root directory.
