I have a couple W2K workstations with IE6 that refuse to play video from any
source. Any ideas?
Machines are update with patches. Running Symantec 10.1 and Webroot
Spysweeper.

Hi Snap,
Try this, open IE page and on the menu bar click on Tools >> Internet
Options >> Click on Advanced Tab, there scroll down to the Multimedia option
and check this box:
[&] Multimedia
[ ] Play animations in web pages check this
[ ] Play sounds in web pages check this
[ ] Play Videos in web pages check this

Click [Ok] to confirm your changes and close the IE properties and try
the website (s).
If still can't play videos then if you have a windows media player or other
installed try to uninstall and reinstall it again that will fix the problem,
if not try to install a media player to be able to view stream videos on
websites.
Here is the link for media player download:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology=
HTH.
Please let us know.
Regards,
nass
