Can't use program AND cant remove program

Hello out there.

I have a program called "Sorensen Squeeze" which reduces
the size of video files.

When I try to open the program I get the following
message, "The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application."

When I tried to remove the program from the Add/Remove
function in Control Panel I found that Add/Remove will
not respond at all for that particular program item.

I would simply like to remove the program from my system
and remove all references to it in the registry etc. Any
suggestions?? If this is the wrong forum, is there
another that I should send this message to.

You could try to reinstall the program, reboot and then try to uninstall.
Also you could try System Restore, but I do not put allot of faith in it.
