Can't update borders

Hi all, I'm having trouble updating the top and bottom borders. This has
happened several times before and my ISP recalculates his end and after
20-30 minutes I can usually publish the new borders without a problem.
However, my ISP has tried this three times during the past week and we just
can't get the new border to upload. The standard publish web process works
and the pages fly over but at the end I get this message back "Server error:
The page _borders/top.htm has been modified by CHEETAH\gothere on 23 Sep
2005 08:06:11 +0100." and of course no upload was achieved. If I ignore the
borders I can upload any other changes. I've recalculated the hyperlinks my
end but it still makes no difference. Any ideas on how I can fix this
problem? Fred

Which version of FrontPage?

Have you tried publishing *all* pages, as opposed to publishing changed
pages only.

Frontpage 2002. No I haven't tried publishing all pages as there's over 600
of them but if all else fails then I may have to. Fred

With FP2002 (and FP2003) you could try selectively publishing the border
files.
Open the _borders folder (if this is not visible in the folder list, use
Tools->Web Settings - Advanced Tab and tick the box "VIew hidden files and
folders". Click OK and allow the web to refresh.), select the borders files
top.htm, left.htm etc. Right click on one selected file and choose "Publish
selected files". This *may* over come the publish problem.
Then open the live site in FrontPage and use Tools-Recalculate Hyperlinks to
ensure the changes are propagated to all pages using the shared borders.
