cant unlock document

I somehow locked something i was working on can not make changes or start a
new document in microsoft word. help says pull down the window (view )click
on outline but it doesnt give me that opition highlighted.
 
Sounds like either your trial version expired or you didn't activate your
copy of Word. Is this a new'ish computer?
